$250 Early Bird Pricing with Code EARLYBIRD25 (ends 11/20)

Commune is a one-day retreat centered on cultivating connection with Ancestral Earth Medicines. In this immersive experience, we will explore different ways to be in partnership with the natural world.

Beginning with a panel discussion, accompanied by herbal elixirs, each of our facilitators will share the unique ways in which they engage with plant allyship.

Caro Arévalo will then guide us in a botanical drawing workshop. Through a blend of artistic techniques and mindfulness, we will deepen our connection to the local flora handpicked by Caro’s keen and creative eye.

Tanya Himeji Romero of Woodland Pantry crafts conscious sustenance through the mediums of plants and food, providing nourishment which builds a bridge back into relationship.

Our evening closes with a cacao and sound journey hosted by Chynna Dee Andrada of Sage Cacao and Elisabeth A. Rose, who study and support the Mayan communities of Guatemala.

Weaving ancestral technology through modern understandings, allowing the spirit of cacao to guide us on an inner quest, softening the edges and opening our hearts to receive the nutriment of Her profound wisdom.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS

Elisabeth A. Rose (she/her) has been serving Cacao for 7 years and is currently studying alongside a Maya community of the Tz’utujil and K’iche’ lineages of Guatemala. It is with permission, humility, honor, gratitude, and reverence that she shares what she has learned in her time walking alongside them as a student. She has a background in eco-therapy, trauma informed integration, archetypal psychology, somatic practices, and ancestral spirituality.

Caro Arévalo (she/her) is a Peruvian visual artist based in Woodstock, NY. Her artwork explores the plant and fungi kingdoms as seen with our naked eyes and through the microscopes. From her Amazonian heritage, Caro embraces the importance of rituals and ancestral wisdom, of embracing our unity with nature in our daily lives. She has been learning the ways of cacao with the Tz’utujil, K’iche and Kaqchikel communities in Guatemala as well as with Florencia Fridman and Cacao Laboratory.
