*Sliding Scale: $30-60
Join botanical artist Caro Arévalo for a workshop where we will get inspired by plants to inspire art!
We will start our session with cacao and a plant meditation, followed by journaling, then jump to watercolor painting.
This workshop offers a blend of artistic exploration and mindful connection.
Throughout the session, Caro will lead us through the fundamentals of watercolor techniques, infusing moments of mindfulness to deepen our connection with both the art supplies and the natural world.
With nature as our muse, we will experiment with different styles and techniques to paint and find what feels good for each of us. We will all paint a selection of flowers with everything learned in class.
All levels of watercolor expertise are welcome!

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Caro Arévalo is a Peruvian visual artist based in Woodstock, NY. Her artwork explores the plant and fungi kingdoms as seen with our naked eyes and through the microscopes.
Caro embraces the interconnectedness of all beings, the significance of rituals and ancestral wisdom in deepening our connection with nature and thus, our day to day lives. Through her paintings, classes and videos, Caro invites us to cultivate more love towards ourselves and our planet, staying creative, curious and aligned with our purpose in the world.
Caro studies our connections with plant kin, meditation and sound as tools to connect to nature and self. She believes in the power of building non-human relationships and working in honor, reciprocity and respect with the communities that teach us the ways of remembrance. Her calling is to build space for our connection to our own natural rhythms and nature with art, plant spirits and meditation.
Caro has facilitated workshops at The Museum of Moving Image, Anima Mundi Herbals, Mycelium Mysteries, Pioneer Works, Spirit Weavers, The Alchemist’s Kitchen and is currently a guest teacher at Wildflower Farms.
